Creativiteit, deel 3

  •  Things Highly Creative People Do Differently

They observe everything
They work the hours that work for them
They take time for solitude
They turn life's obstacles around
They seek out new experiences
They "fail up" "Creatives fail and the really good ones fail often"
They ask the big questions
They daydream
They people-watch
They take risks
They view all of life as an opportunity for self-expression
They follow their true passions
They get out of their own heads
They lose track of the time
They surround themselves with beauty
They connect the dots
In the words of Steve Jobs:
"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things."
 They constantly shake things up
They make time for mindfulness

I also have tons of things that I’ve saved, dimensional items, whether its tear sheets from magazines or invitations to events that I liked, or beautiful packaging, or just anything that inspires me. And, I have these books that are not categorized by anything but are just full of visual works, so I’ll flip through those for ideas. 10-creative-rituals-you-should-steal

  • STEL VRAGEN
Constantly ask questions and play dumb

  •   SAM PICARD
Last summer Sam took part in the exhibition Land, Sea, Sky at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and selected to display her striking chrysanthemum, bamboo and ivy designs at the event, printed on a series of large fabric wall panels. “The idea was to bring the outside in and I matched the colours (by eye) directly from the plants themselves, so although the scale is dramatic, the colours are in fact very natural and harmonious.”
